From the event’s fb description:
Join Project Space for our Monthly Open Studio, Scrap Map, an installation and publication by Vancouver-based artist Sarah Davidson.
By transforming the unintended gesture of creating offcuts into a temporary installation work, Scrap Map creates a “mind map” reflective of the artist’s own process. Scrap Map connects to the artist’s ongoing exploration of print ephemera, installation and the fragment as symbol.
The exhibition consists of a site-specific installation and zine, which function in tandem (the publication is a guide to the installation).
SARAH DAVIDSON is an artist based in Vancouver, Canada. She works primarily on paper and is interested in exploring the fragment as symbol, the medium as gendered and the map as it exists in lived time.
