Last month saw Sweaty Bones 11th edition held at Rainbow Connection with an array of Djs, artists and installations for the conjuct Art Trap exhibition, co-curated by Ezra Bloom. Preceeded by a collaborative set-up alongside Sweaty Bones’ founder, host and exhibitor Heidi Nagtegaal: the early evening brought space to talk municipal politics with Heidi and Ezra, co-candidates for COPE during these past elections. What followed were five hours of sweaty people dancing the night away, surrounded by installations and art pieces that blended in with the venue to create new, playful ways of relating in an “exhibit, dance party, performance event, happening, situationist movement, and healing gesture”.
