Last night was mental! Thanks @VANDOCUMENT for having us and mega props to the entire crowd for dancing your hearts out. #hotdamn

Thank you
Thank you everyone for your contributions, whether big or small, whether performing or showing work, whether helping us in person or online, whether lending a hand before during or after the event,
it all makes a huge difference in pulling off a massive and complex event such as this.

Why we do this
(the turnout is proving that we’re onto something here)
It’s totally worth it !
By putting on CONNECTIONS events, we are:

  • connecting artists from varying practices
  • connecting people with artists they might never otherwise see or know about
  • connecting Vancouver, creativity, space, expression, and community in a fresh, inclusive way that our city needs and deserves

Also:
since VANDOC focuses on emerging and local artists,
our CONNECTIONS parties also focus on local and emerging artists.
Not only emerging, but also brand new collaborations such as Legsss + Jess Hill and works in progress such as cometary, Lovers Inside Boa Constrictor, and A Real Title.

This means that moving forward,
CONNECTIONS parties are going to be perfect showcases
of the freshest artists,
creating the newest work
in the widest range of arts practices.

That’s pretty badass.

This is CONNECTIONS.
We love you.
