Six Fest @ 6th & Ontario

East Van community gathers for annual party in the street, complete with potluck, music, dancing... and a wedding!

Six Fest is an annual, free, all day, all ages community event in East Van near Broadway and Main.

This was the fest’s third year and featured a huge list of local creative talent,
from a ton of musicians:

The Adulthood

comedy & music by Chris-A-Riffic

and a surprise one-off reunion of the Bash Brothers,

to dancers such as Polymer Dance

and an intense yet playful piece by Darcy McMurray + Areli Moran + Sammy Chien,

to a beautiful closing performance piece by Robert Leveroos.

To kick it all off, a wedding!

PrOphecy Sun and Darren Fleet, both Six Fest organizers and musicians (Tyranahorse & Adulthood) tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony that began with prOphecy’s entourage rolling her down the hill in a shopping cart…!

For innumerable reasons, this was a beautiful, positive, community event that gave us all many reasons to celebrate.
