Rossi Gang: “Rosetta”

Jump and jive into the night

Rossi Gang are releasing their debut music video for their cover of the jazz standard “Rosetta”, a video follow-up to their recent album release titled “The Bohemiyam” on March 29th. The video was directed by Lebon Siu, a recent film graduate and aspiring music video director, who first heard the smooth jazz tunes of Rossi Gang echoing down the seawall at English Bay.

The band wants to spread recognition for jazz to all generations with the music video. The concept for the video called for Abbotsford’s Suburban Swing, a dance club for beginner and professional swing dancers young and old, whom the band has played for. Even the band member’s friends and families attended the three night filming event that took place in band’s very own backyard. The video documents their live performance in a New Orleans inspired stage built just for the occasion, capturing the spirit of jazz as their fans jump and jive into the night under the string lights.
