The Stories of a Lifetime: Sean Karemaker’s Scroll Drawings
Karemaker's solo show at The Gam features his large narrative-based compositions
Photos by Ash Tanasiychuk
One of the nicest guys you’ll meet, Sean Karemaker is a gentle giant who creates epic panels of drawings that tell the stories that span entire lifetimes.
His drawing style is rough and raw, yet proportionately accurate and approachable.
In late July 2013, Karemaker launched a solo show at The Gam.
As described by the event’s write up:
“Karemaker has recently been focused on large narrative-based compositions that express love and love lost, a fear of growing old and feelings of nostalgia… Their effect is disarmingly personal.”
We’ll let these photos of his show speak for themselves.
